The Heart of America German Shorthair Pointer club was established in 1951, and is a sanctioned Kansas City based AKC organization dedicated to advancing the GSP breed by maintaining high breed standards, and promoting the breed throughout the year through various performance events.

We are a member of our AKC Parent Club, German Shorthair Pointers of America (GSPCA).

Our monthly meetings are held on the 3rd Tuesday of every month, except October at Dressler's Dog Supply in Kansas City, KS and are open to the public.

Our club owns, and has available to members a "club horse" to use during club related events. The club horse is available to be used in horseback stakes allowing the owner the option to enter and handle their dog off of horseback.
